Lies! Action! Camera!

John McCain’s office on Monday posted a medical update after surgery to treat what is being referred to as an “intestinal infection related to diverticulitis.”

Despite daughter Meghan McCain’s wishful report that she expects her father to return to the senate by summer, the 81-year-old senator who was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain tumor last year will obviously need additional recuperation and therapy.  He has been spending time at the family compound in Cornville, rather than at their luxury Phoenix penthouse.

McCain being unable to return to Congress has presented a hardship for the Democrats who were the beneficiaries of his intended to shock vote against what was termed the “skinny repeal” of Obamacare. The vote was delayed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who needed McCain’s vote for passage of the package. This is what he and America got from the “maverick instead. (19-second video).

But the man known for his vile temper, angry outbursts and crude manner even when talking to his wife and mother of four of his seven children, in the presence of staff and reporters, is nonetheless being deified by HBO.

Here’s a snippet of the promo from Deadline Hollywood:

“John McCain certainly has led an extraordinary American life, and now HBO has begun work on a documentary about the six-term senator, 2008 GOP presidential nominee and longtime Vietnam POW.

Produced and directed by multiple Emmy winner Peter Kunhardt, the untitled film is an exclusive profile of one of the most influential forces in modern American politics.

No premiere date is set for the film, which will provide unprecedented access to his daily life in Washington, D.C. and Sedona, AZ. The film also features interviews with family, friends, colleagues and leading political figures.

“Through the years, John has rightly earned the reputation as an American hero,” Peter Kunhardt said. “In the final chapter of his life, he is reminding this generation of what government can and should look like.”

It’s unlikely the film will devote time to the intra-party censure of McCain by elected state committeemen in Arizona. Numerous counties throughout the state also voted overwhelmingly to censure him. He retaliated by aligning with a San Francisco Obama donor and waging a massive campaign to remove the elected Republican party volunteers from their posts. The committeemen are the ones who work diligently to elect Republican candidates.

The censure vote in Maricopa County, which encompasses the capitol of Phoenix and numerous adjacent cities, passed overwhelmingly — 1,150 in support with only 351 opposed. Read the complete Resolution to Censure John McCain, including a list of grievances.

It’s a sure bet few Arizona Republicans will be tuning in to HBO to view amnesty promoter McCain, who prefers illegal aliens to them, except when in campaign mode. Then he advocates tocomplete the danged fence.” (video).  They’ve had quite enough of his deceitful antics to watch a whitewash of the man they know all too well and have learned to distrust.
