AZ Republic sniffs for scent of blood to do in Trump

Failing newspaper aided in its quest to take down Pres. Trump by AZ Republicrat Sens. McCain and Flake and gutless AZ GOP

The editorial in Wednesday’s edition of the Arizona Republic emblazons the headline, “Our View: Trump is unbalanced. What are Republicans going to do about it?”

Let’s begin with the fact that this is the same liberal newspaper, bogusly referring to itself as “conservative,”  that endorsed scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton prior to the Nov. 8, 2016 presidential election. No one was fooled then, nor are they now as they read this claiming to be definitive, tripe. It is the expected spew from what is known alternatively to its dwindling readership as the Repugnant, or the Daily Regurgitation, for its deceptive or repetitive articles which often appear in the same edition.

Among the adjectives editorially used to describe the President of the United States are: “Destabilizing, reckless, erratic, incapable and imperfect.” President Trump is portrayed as “a  cannon loose in the White House…gashing the timber.” Rather poetic for these leftist ranters who despise not only Trump, but those of us who put him in office.

Though working from their anti-Republican script, the editorial board feigns concern for the future of the Republican Party. In truth they’d be ecstatic if the party of Lincoln vanished. Amusingly, the newspaper also carries a  headlined report, “Sens. John McCain, Jeff Flake say Donald Trump woes a drag on GOP agenda” The truth is the actual drag are Republicrats John McCain and Jeff Flake, who both refused to vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Flake was quoted saying,Trump can’t win and shouldn’t win.”

Arizona Republican Party leadership shamefully went mute, doing nothing to rein in “maverick” McCain and his underling, Jeff Flake for their political heresy.

Returning to the anti-Trump editorial, the editorial board goes on to ask, “Did the president obstruct justice? Did he commit a crime?” They admit, “We don’t know the answers, but the allegations are powerful and credible.”

Allegations are just that. Allegations. Powerful and credible requires proof of wrongdoing. There is none. As if they care, the editorial goes on: to express concern that Trump would take the Republican Party down with him. They write “Trump’s conduct has brought a torrent of accusations that in themselves and their unrelenting fierceness can be destabilizing.”

So according to the Hillary-endorsing newspaper, “fierce accusations” should cause President Trump to vacate the Oval Office. Using that logic, why didn’t bolting the party orthodoxy to vote for Hillary Clinton provoke an editorial urging McCain and Flake to step down from the U.S. Senate? Where was the voice of then-state GOP Chairman Robert Graham? Current Chairman Jonathan Lines has not uttered a word of reproach.

Hypocrites abound — within the Arizona Republican Party hierarchy as well as at the Arizona Republic.
