DACA:Trump disappointingly pivots goes “bipartisan”

AZ Chamber’s Hamer hammers on behalf of illegals

DACA, the acronym for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is getting a lot of play these days, mostly attempting to strum on citizens’ heartstrings with sympathetic stories of the “plight” of the so-called D.R.E.A.M.E.R.s.

It is, in fact,  a program thrust upon us as an illegal executive order (video) by Barack Obama, and is nothing less than a frontal assault on the Constitution and the rule of law. Since its inception in 2012, DACA has granted more than 800,000 recipients renewable, two-year work permits and a reprieve from deportation proceedings. A toothless “remedy,” it purportedly applies specifically  to illegals brought to the United States by their illegally invading parents before they were 16 years old. In order to qualify for this absurd generosity, they must have been age 35 or younger as of June 2012. There is no way to verify their claims, which makes enforcement of the program a complete farce — resulting in astronomical fraud rates.

Donald Trump was elected by Americans who believed his promise to secure our border, build a fortified fence and not offer incentives to invaders. His get tough on illegal immigration message was as effective and compelling as his economic message in resonating with American voters, propelling him to the front of the line of 17 GOP presidential candidates in 2016. Last week when he cut a disastrous deal with “Chuck and Nancy,” we took him to task for bending to the Democrat minority leaders’ whims.

Now the relationship appears to be ongoing. On Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi once again emerged from a meeting with President Trump sporting smiles. It’s being reported their ‘New  Deal’ specifies bipartisan legislation called the DREAM Act that provides eventual citizenship for illegals claiming they were brought here as children.

“We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides,” Pelosi and Schumer said in a joint statement.

Sorry folks.  It’s not “acceptable” to conservatives who worked to elect Trump. Rewarding demands and civil unrest staged by non-citizens  —  is not how a Representative Republic functions.

This past week The Arizona Republic newspaper once again leaped into full-blown Periódico de la República mode, giving prominence to a report titled,Arizona business leader wants Congress to legalize DACA recipients.”

And who might that “business leader” be?

None other than the reliable voice of illegal labor profiteers, Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Glenn Hamer, who Seeing Red AZ has covered previously. Two links are included in the post, Glenn Hamer: Heretic betrays GOP again, which follows Hamer’s career path from executive director of the Arizona Republican Party to endorsing radically left-wing Democrat Janet Napolitano for governor. Anything for a buck, as the saying goes.

It’s critically important to recognize the fact that these are not benign business leaders looking to grow their entities, but hard-hitting,  nefarious actors.  In July 2007, Seeing Red AZ exposed the left-of-center Arizona Chamber of Commerce’s announced plans to target Republican state lawmakers who were instrumental in guiding theFair and Legal Employment Act (more commonly known as the Employer Sanctions law) to passage.
