McCain single-handedly kills GOP effort to repeal Obamacare

McCain has written his own obituary

The Arizona Republic has gone mute. John McCain, the newspaper’s favorite obstructionist, a phony Republican who has spent his entire career in Washington colluding with Democrats, is no longer on the front page.  The massive photos and oversize headlines are gone, though John McCain isn’t.  Has he finally disappointed the left-leaning, Hillary Clinton and amnesty-supporting newspaper? His name has been obliterated from its pages this morning.  The only mention in the entire front section is a column on page 12 that was obviously written before he led the Republicans off the health care cliff and preserved the debacle known as Obamacare.

Nearly 81 and suffering from an aggressive form of brain cancer, John McCain was hailed a hero for returning to the U.S. Senate to cast a vote with Republicans. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell held up a vote on the bill waiting for McCain to arrive. He was acclaimed for hopping a private jet to support the party under whose banner he ran and was first elected to the U.S. House in 1982 — 35 long years ago.

Yet in a 51-49 vote that finally took place at 2 a.m. this morning, John McCain cast the deciding vote to kill the repeal. Republicrats Susan Collins (Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) had already signaled they’d be voting with the Democrats, once again. It was John McCain’s opposition vote that sealed the deal. A jealous, perpetually angry and petty man, McCain doesn’t want to give President Trump the repeal which was a hallmark of his victorious campaign.

“It is time to move on,” McConnell said after the vote.

Senate Minority Leader Democrat Charles Schumer with whom McCain and Jeff Flake partnered on the Gang of Eight amnesty bill, smugly clucked, “We are not celebrating. We are relieved.”

The next time Seeing Red AZ writes about this despicably arrogant double-crosser will be when he draws his last breath.  To most Republicans, he’s already dead.
