NYC subway terrorist entered US via chain migration

The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that the suspect in Monday morning’s failed rush hour suicide pipe bomb attack on a Port Authority bus terminal and subway station in New York City entered the United States from Bangladesh in 2011 through one of the chain migration categories. DHS says ISIS-inspired Akayed Ullah, 27, is a green card holder who arrived here on an F43 visa, according to this Breitbart News report.

Numbers USA explains that an F43 visa is issued to a foreign national who is the child of an adult sibling of a U.S. citizen. It falls under the 4th preference of the family preference green card categories, which allows 65,000 green cards each year to be issued to adult siblings and their spouses and children of citizens.

Tyler Houlton, a DHS spokesperson tweeted:

.@DHSgov can confirm that the suspect was admitted to the United States after presenting a passport displaying an F43 family immigrant visa in 2011. The suspect is a Lawful Permanent Resident from Bangladesh who benefited from extended family chain migration.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also made reference to the information during her daily press briefing.

There is no question that the terrorist was admitted to the United States after presenting a passport displaying an F-43 family immigrant visa in 2011. The immediate issue is revoking such a dangerous policy. President Trump’s policy calls for an end to chain migration, the method used by Akayed Ullah to enter the U.S. If his policy had been in place, the attacker would not have been allowed into the country.  President Trump has appropriately advocated for responsible and total immigration reform.

During a rally last weekend in Pensacola, Florida, Pres. Trump called on Congress to end Chain Migration.

Numbers USA President Roy Beck has an entire section devoted to the Chain Migration scheme that leaves Americans needlessly vulnerable to those who mean us harm. The website contains a wealth of information that is not found elsewhere.

U.S. Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) has introduced the American Labor, Wages, and Sovereignty Act (American LAWS Act), H.R. 4340 with Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX.). The legislation contains provisions to eliminate the visa lottery program, end chain migration, and institute mandatory E-Verify. Read the full text of H.R. 4340.

The visa lottery program is also a disaster. L. Francis Cissna @DHSgov saying visa lottery standards are very low,“ stated “Random lotteries, extended family connections, that’s not the way to run an immigration system.”  This is a topic with which he has more than a passing familiarity. Cissna is the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
