Republicrat braintrusts Flake & Giles: GOP’s future is “toast”

Mesa Mayor Giles puts absurdity on display

Arizona short-term Senator Jeff Flake and his not too swift ally Mesa Mayor John Giles were caught on a hot mic Friday discussing the state of the Republican Party. ABC 15 carries the exclusive report. (must see video).

With his inane smirk firmly in place, anti-Trumper Jeff Flake definitively declares, “it’s toast.”

And the mayor?  After calling President Trump an “idiot,“ Giles tells Flake he is the only one who can save the GOP, and actually encourages Flake — who couldn’t win reelection in Arizona — to run for president in 2020. We couldn’t make this stuff up.

If the size of the ‘crowd’ they were addressing is any indicator, both of these men ought to consider another line of work.  Their negative message is not catching on.

Giles, who glowingly endorsed John McCain, obviously has a penchant for exhibiting faulty judgment.

It must have slipped Giles mind that Trump won the Republican nomination over 16 other primary candidates in 2016. Even with massive assists from John McCain and Jon Kyl, who was retiring, Jeff Flake barely squeaked into office with a slim 3-point lead over Democrat Richard Carmona, George W. Bush’s surgeon general. Now after six years of deception, and going against the conservative tide, amnesty proponent Flake can barely muster pulse rate polling numbers, which is why he has opted out of running for reelection. That preemptive action beats an embarrassing trouncing any day of the week.

Flake scored a pathetic 25 percent favorability rating among Republican primary voters in this poll by GBA Strategies, with a 56 percent unfavorable rating. Over half — 59% — of Arizona voters disapprove of the job Flake is doing, and only 34 percent approved.

Conservative Review gives Flake a bottom dragging “F” Liberty Score. He also ranked as themost unpopular senator in the nation,” as reported by AZFamily.com, Channel 3.

Like Jeff Flake, John Giles is also an alumnus of Brigham Young University. There must be nutcase nuggets tainting the water in Provo, Utah.
