Speaker Ryan fires parting amnesty shot at Americans

Posted by on | April 14, 2018 | No Comments

Remember when we were sold a bill of goods on wunderkind Paul Ryan? As Mitt Romney’s 2012 vice presidential running mate he was touted as a numbers cruncher extraordinaire who would bring a depth of knowledge and great insight to budget issues

With his recently announced plans to retire from Congress, few tears are being shed for the Wisconsin Representative who has spent two decades wallowing in the iffy realm of bipartisanship and accomplishing little. Conservatives view him less affectionately than liberals such as Washington state liberal Democrat Patti Murray with whom he co-authored a 2017 tax bill. Apparently he was unable to find a willing Republican Senate cosponsor.  As House Speaker, Ryan gave Donald Trump only begrudging support as the GOP presidential nominee, waffling along the way.

More egregious than Ryan’s enmity towards President Trump is his McCain-like aisle crossing to forge an amnesty scheme before he leaves Congress.  As his parting gift to America’s citizens, Ryan will push his open borders agenda during his last months in Congress, telling  media sources that he is interested in passing an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens who are enrolled and eligible for Obama’s self-admitted, illegitimately created (video) Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. “Childhood Arrivals” is a misnomer since there is no verification process.  The age limit is 36, ensuring more than a few are grandparents.

Breitbart News reports in a comment to Fox News’ Chad Pergram, Ryan said he would “certainly” be interested in passing a DACA amnesty before his term ends.

Ryan, who hypocritically had a fence constructed around his family estate, said that his main focus after passing a budget to keep the federal government open was to pass an amnesty for DACA illegal aliens, granting between 800,000 to 3.5 million permanent authority to stay in the U.S.

The aim of such an amnesty is ultimately rewarding illegal aliens enrolled in the program with a  pathway to U.S. citizenship, which comes with tremendous costs for American citizens. Such an amnesty would put more citizen children of illegal aliens — known as “anchor babies” — on federal welfare, while American taxpayers would be left with an estimated $26 billion bill.  Additionally, about one in five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one in seven would go on Medicaid.

The U.S. generously admits over one million legal immigrants a year —- often at the expense of American workers and students — as they compete for jobs and university placements. Ryan’s scheme would give amnestied illegal aliens the opportunity to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the country, through a family reunification process known as chain migration.

A DACA amnesty will trigger a border surge that potentially triples the number of illegal aliens breaching our southern border. Since DACA’s inception, over 2,000 recipients of the program have been ejected due to criminal involvement or gang violence. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released this report detailing the extent of the gang surge last year.
