Still jealous McCain blasts President Trump

Unable to exhibit grace as his life book closes

John McCain, who self-identifies as a “maverick “ for continually bucking the party under whose banner he ran, is now seriously ill with brain cancer. He is in no condition to write a book, and never did so previously.

Once again, he relies on loyalist Mark Salter, his former chief of staff and speechwriter, to get his message out. In this final collaboration McSalter hammers President Donald Trump, in a vicious diatribe posing as McCain’s “memoir.”

The man who was unable to win the presidency against Barack Obama — who began his own campaign in the home of terrorist Bill Ayes —- now pathetically uses his way out life’s final door to vengefully hurl insults at President Trump.

Salter, channeling McCain, bizarrely accuses Donald Trump, who achieved what McCain could only covet, of “undermining American values.” Like McCain, Salter supported scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential bid, apparently believing she exhibited American values.

During McCain’s failed 2008 presidential campaign, The Wall Street Journal wrote that “When it comes to Sen. McCain’s image, Mr. Salter… is the campaign’s chief creator, shaper and enforcer. For two decades, he has been the presumed Republican nominee’s speechwriter, adviser and confidant.”

In the latter stages of the faltering campaign Salter frequently criticized media treatment of McCain, which he said was “consistently tilted in his rivals’ favor”

Reuters news agency provides a review of this hatched job book via its own left-of-center perspective. For some clarity, Reuters considers the word “terrorist” to be  too highly charged to use in reporting, explaining its decision by declaring, “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.”

You’ve been warned.
