AZ a Catalyst in States’ Rights Activity

Arizona took the lead in States’ Rights activity last spring by introducing SB 1070.

After all the negative press, naysayers, and doom and gloomers, the SB1070 passed and a good part of the bill is already in effect.  I am confidently expecting the entire bill to clear the Supreme Court.

And 25 States have followed suit by introducing mirror legislation to tackle this difficult, expensive, budget busting illegal immigration issue.

Maybe more important is the fact that States are now flexing their muscles to get control of expenses in all areas.  And these steps are not nickel and dime measures.  They are measures that will determine the future of our States and our Country.

Consider the recent actions and events of NJ, IN, MN and WI.  Even Gov. Jerry Brown of CA is looking to the results of WI.   Bold steps are required by the troubling financial times we are in currently.

One State feeding off the energy of another State is great.  One State learning from another State is even better. States are emboldened by other States.  All fixated on the common goal of putting our States and our Country back on solid footing.

Individual States are striving to fix their individual problems; the collective action of many States makes the effort a team effort.

Earlier this week, the AZ Senate leadership issued a press release  “ in full support of WI Governor Scott Walker.”

Hats off to the Arizona Senate leadership that sees the benefits of assisting other States and identifying with them to solve common issues.  The momentum continues to build for true governmental reform.

Please contact your State Representatives and Senators will all the support you can muster for them as they go forward working to solutions for our great State.
